With Thomas Brinkmann headlining, this evening promised to be a heavy ass
shaking experience with no time for a washroom break. Warming the crowd up
till after midnight was Toronto’s own Fatima, pulling people to the
dancefloor like moths to the light. Dan Lui, delivering a rare live set,
reminded everybody what four-to-the-floor in connection with a 909 really
means and paved the way for some Brinkmannness that brought up happy
memories from a legendary set at MUTEK 2006. Taking his Job very serious was
Shamous Coghlan who decreased the number of people able to accomblish
anything on Saturday quite significantly.
To balance out the aural component, Wüstenarchitekten presented a warped 3
screen video installation – altering perception just enough to leave people
wondering if they swalloed the red pill.
